School Uniform Notice

It has been brought to our attention that some pupils havebeen wearing items of clothing that we feel do not fit our uniform policy.Having reread our uniform policy and checked what pupils will be expected towear at Mildenhall College we would like to clarify what we mean by standarduniform at College Heath.
- Green school sweatshirt
- Black skirt or tailored trousers
- Yellow logo embossed polo shirt with collar
- Black, low heeled shoes (no open toes) or blacktrainers with black laces
- Skirts must be knee length and neithertight nor baggy.
- Trousers must be ankle length, notcropped.
- Trousers and skirts must not be jeanmaterial, denim, canvas, cords, skinny fit, leggings, jeggins, tracksuits,patterned, checked, striped, sequined, flecked, jogging bottoms, slits ortrouser skirts.
Please can you ensure that yourchild has the correct school uniform. If you have any problems with thisplease contact your child’s form teacher and we may be able to help.
Free School Meals

It may be that you are eligible for Free School Meals.The criteria are:
- In receipt of Income Support
- In receipt of Employment Support Allowance (Income Related)
- In receipt of Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Receiving a Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit
- Receives Child Tax Credit only (No Working Tax Credit) and your taxable income is below £16,190 (as shown on your tax credit award summary, TC602) or a 4 week Working Tax Credit run on
- Are supported under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
(Working Tax Credit does NOT qualify you for Free School Meals, unless you are claiming a 4 week Working Tax Credit Run on).

Mill House Fabrics Scheme

The school has recently entered into a scheme with Mill House Fabrics in Bury St Edmunds whereby for every £1.00 spent in the store College Heath Middle School will receive a credit of 10p to purchase textiles materials. If you are making any purchases all you need to do is mention the school when you pay.
